Mary Whalen on Lily |
|
We are lucky to have this talented and experienced woman as barn manager at Locust Hill. Mary has a B.S. in Biology from Marist College. More importantly, she is a licensed Vet Tech with 25 years experience. She is a very hands-on manager, involved with every horse every day, and is on call 24/7. Mary has been part of the Dutchess County horse scene since she started riding with Deborah Dows at Southlands at the age of 10. She grew up in Pony Club, graduating "A" Pony Club. She has competed at B Pony Club, ridden and taught at Southlands, ridden for Kathryn Boyer, and ridden and taught at Locust Hill. Experienced in riding and training green horses, she has evented to A level. She teaches ages 5-75. From personal experience this author can say Mary instills confidence in a rider, especially out on cross-country jump rides. |

Tracy Little on Tommy |
| I'll fess up now. I've been given the task of updating this website and checking the e-mail messages. Though I work part time now, I have been associated with Locust Hill Farm for over 20 years. Prior to starting a family I was barn manager for 6 years. Now I do the body-clipping, trimming and manes and such. Cross-country riding has always been my love and for the past 6 years I get to share my enthusiasm for the sport by designing the annual Locust Hill Farm Hunter Pace. | |
